Title : Teaching children through songs and chants

　　2008年10月18日下午，外研社大兴国际会议中心培训楼2302室，来自北京师范大学的陈则航博士作了题为“Teaching English through songs and chants”的专题讲座。本次讲座首先探讨了语言教学中运用歌谣的原因、讨论了挑选歌谣的原则，并与学员们分享了一些成功使用歌谣的案例，最后展示了如何在课堂上灵活运用歌谣以促进语言学习、激发学生兴趣。

　　参会者不仅在课堂上欣赏了不少动听的歌谣，而且通过视频等了解了国外歌谣教学的创意。在讲座即将结束时，陈博士又让参会者分析了一些利用歌谣失败的案例，以免他们在工作实践重蹈覆辙。

CHEN Zehang is a lecturer in the English Department, School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Beijing Normal University, China. She is also a special lecturer in the School of Education, University ofNottingham, UK. She has just completed her PhD in e-learning and teacher development from University of Nottingham. She has been involved in various projects as researcher, materials developer and trainer. Her special interests are teaching English to young learners, ELT methodology, teacher development and e-learning.
